The solution is extremely flexible and utilises SAP’s Generic Object Services (GOS) functionality. GOS has been extended to search for and store TRIM document links. The document remains in TRIM and is subject to your organisation’s document security and storage governance. This maintains the integrityof the document as a ‘single source of truth’.

The solution provides a link between the TRIM form, approval email and any other related document with the SAP object. The solution can be used with all SAP transactions that provide Generic Object Services and has many applications, for example:

Attaching resource requisition forms to SAP service or purchase orders
Attaching customer or vendor documents to projects or contracts
Attaching non-standard documents, such as emails, to service requests
Attaching internal forms or notes to SAP transactions

The solution allows you to access supporting documents stored in TRIM directly from SAP. These documents can be internal such as approvals, specifi cations, notes; or external documents such as vendor details, customer correspondence, and service responses.
