Unity for Plant Maintenance is a valuable toolset for large industrial companies who regularly schedule maintenance shut downs to carry out major plant and equipment servicing. Many large asset-based organisations create weekly maintenance schedules by exporting maintenance data from SAP to Microsoft Project. But reliably producing an accurate weekly maintenance schedule in this way is extremely difficult.
Last minute alterations to data in SAP, such as short notice requests for work orders and changes in human resource calendars mean the schedule can quickly become out of date. Such changes are not automatically reflected in MS Project and require another complete download of data from SAP.
