Oxygen stages breakfast roundtable
Oxygen’s National Solutions Leader - Platform and Technologies, Mark Finlayson, says there has been considerable interest in SAP’s GRC toolset from a range of public sector customers.
“Being able to accurately control, audit and manage SAP solution environments is essential for satisfying today’s IT audit requirements,” says Finlayson.
“Over the last two years SAP has radically improved its ability to manage and support complex user landscapes, and the latest SAP GRC Access Control solution makes it much easier for organisations to monitor SAP system processes and comply with audit requirements.”
In large organisations, where there are multiple SAP environments, there is a heightened risk that without proper control over role provisioning security profiles will be inappropriately allocated, Finlayson says.
“The SAP GRC toolset mitigates that risk by providing a single user role provisioning platform, which enables automated role provisioning and replication across all SAP landscapes. This in turn provides better control over the ownership, and access to, key business processes.”
He says the new tools also help public sector organisations better meet regulatory reporting requirements laid down by the Australian National Audit Office and Sarbanes Oxley legislation.
“The SAP tools provide a full audit trail of access and ownership of security rights, which simplifies the reporting process, making it much more efficient.”
