Oxygen appoints Industry Leaders to extend consulting capability within key industry sectors
Oxygen Chief Executive Mike T. Smith says the responsibility of each Industry Leader is to develop go-to-market strategies and industry focused consulting propositions for Oxygen within each nominated industry sector.
“In Australia we have made three appointments, one each for public sector, manufacturing and logistics, and utilities and resources. We have also appointed a public sector leader for the New Zealand market.”
Smith says Oxygen’s SAP implementation experience is well recognised and respected within each of these industry sectors and the creation of the Industry Leader roles is to further develop Oxygen’s reputation for high end, value consulting.
“Our aim is to provide strategic guidance to organisations in these key sectors and together with SAP, help clients extract better business value from their existing SAP solutions.
We have appointed people who have deep industry domain experience and a significant degree of SAP expertise. Our Industry Leaders and their teams will focus on assisting clients prepare their business systems to cope with the specific competitive pressures each of their sectors face.”
The three Industry Leaders in Australia are:
- Datta Supomo – Public Sector
An existing Oxygen employee, Supomo is based in Canberra and will further develop Oxygen’s position within the federal government in Australia. He will also be responsible for building Oxygen’s capability within the state government environment. Supomo joined Oxygen last year bringing more than 20 years of professional experience in numerous corporate and business environments, and more relevantly, over 10 years SAP experience.
- Mohan Raskutti – Manufacturing and Logistics
Based in Melbourne, Raskutti will build on Oxygen’s extensive experience across this industry cluster. He will be responsible for developing a wider range of solutions specifically targeted at supply chain businesses. Raskutti has over 30 years industry and management consulting experience with particular expertise in the manufacturing sector.
- Carl McGowan – Utilities and Resources
McGowan will be based in Sydney and be responsible for further developing Oxygen’s strong track record servicing the utilities and resources sector. McGowan gained over 15 years professional experience undertaking engineering roles in the mining/manufacturing industries before moving into the SAP arena in a variety of delivery and business development/account management roles.
The New Zealand Industry Leader is:
- Chris Holmes – Public Sector
Based in Wellington Holmes is responsible for establishing Oxygen’s capability within the emerging SAP public sector market. He is also responsible for building Oxygen’s capability within local and regional councils across New Zealand. Holmes has worked for over 10 years in the SAP space and has extensive business development and project management experience working for Tier 1 consulting organisations.
