Optimise SAP BusinessObjects with Oxygen
Oxygen is offering a limited number of complimentary monitoring sessions, part of a comprehensive Business Intelligence (BI) Health Check package, designed to identify potential weaknesses in an organisation’s business intelligence system before they turn into bigger problems.
Oxygen’s National Solution Lead for Business Intelligence, Mark Villazon, says organisations rely heavily on their ability to deliver timely and accurate information to the business, but as organisations evolve reporting requirements change.
“Typically a business intelligence system is built to meet the current demands of the organisation. But companies don’t stand still, business priorities change, new users are added and other projects undertaken by the business can impact on the way information needs to be delivered to decision-makers.”
Villazon says when this happens an organisation needs to take a close look at the way its BI system is working. “In the face of changing demands a business intelligence system can quickly reach capacity, and performance and response times can quickly decline.”
Oxygen’s BI Health Check consists of an on-site review of an organisation’s production system, says Villazon. “We will provide a written report on the strengths, weaknesses and usage patterns of the system and make recommendations (with cost estimates) where we think it could be improved.”
The review identifies opportunities to enhance performance, security and stability of the system using new or existing technology and products, and ensures the deployment is scalable and able to respond to future demands.
“Each organisation has its own unique set-up and business issues,” says Villazon. “The monitoring session is a precursor to the health check and allows us to sit down with different areas of the business and identify key components in the SAP BusinessObjects environment that need attention. “We will define relevant metrics and review monitoring activities and responses. Once that has been done our skilled BI consultants can begin to devise a plan to optimise the system to meet current needs and better cater for future capacity changes.”
