New win builds Oxygen's reputation as SAP partner to Australian federal government
Oxygen has been selected by the Australian Crime Commission to implement a new SAP ERP system.
General Manager of Sales Phil Curtis says the win adds to Oxygen’s list of new customers obtained in the last six weeks, which also includes Pilkington Glass, Integ and Orica Mining.
“This is a strategic win for Oxygen,” says Curtis. “We secured this work in a competitive tender and it is the first ‘green fields’ SAP implementation to be carried out in Canberra for some years. It continues to build our credibility as a strong SAP partner in the Federal Government market, and follows our win of the SAP upgrade project at the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations.”
Curtis says Pilkington Glass has chosen Oxygen to implement a new SAP Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) product Suite.
“Pilkington are committed to improving the purchasing process by adopting SAP’s SRM functionality. In particular the self-service procurement functionality, which provides staff with access to external electronic supplier catalogues.”
Curtis says this initiative aligns with other projects underway at Pilkington to streamline purchasing and accounts payable processes as a means of improving spending controls and data accuracy.
“Gaining access to online catalogues will reduce the tedious task of maintaining large quantities of master data and pricing information records, while still capturing valuable information for spend analysis and contract negotiation.”
At Integ, Oxygen has taken over the SAP support contract from IBM. Integ is a leading Australian ICT integrator that supports over 2000 customer sites across Australia.
In a round-up of other new project work, Curtis says Orica Mining has asked Oxygen to undertake a CRM Pilot study. “We have also recently been commissioned by Carter Holt Harvey to undertake a project to design and configure SAP for the CHH Wood Products newly acquired TDC Mill in Whangarei, New Zealand.”
