Getronics chooses OxygenExpress for SAP Business All-in-One implementation

July 16 2008 | Media Release

SAP Fast Start, the dedicated mid-market deployment solution for SAP’s All-in-One product launched recently by Oxygen Express, has won its first major implementation project for Australian company Getronics.

Oxygen’s General Manager of Sales, Phil Curtis, says Getronics is implementing the FastStart version of the SAP All-In-One product, which comes pre-configured with industry-specific business processes and templates.

Pat Saundry, General Manager of OxygenExpress says “Getronics Australia designs, integrates and manages ICT infrastructures and business solutions for many leading companies in Australia. We have begun implementing SAP All-in-One and expect the product to be live by October.

Designed for companies with between 100 and 2500 employees, SAP All-in-One replaces legacy systems with a fully integrated, extensible and customisable business solution, which is capable of handling the most demanding, high-volume service operations.

“Getronics operates over 80 service locations around the country. SAP All-in-One is designed from the ground up to support multiple locations and has many industry-specific best practice business processes built-in, allowing organisations to get key financial and operational processes up and running quickly.” said Saundry.

Oxygen has also been selected for two high profile SAP upgrade projects, says Curtis – one for TVNZ in Auckland and the other for Bridgestone in Adelaide.

“They are both challenging assignments as we are upgrading TVNZ and Bridgestone to ERP 6.0 which is built on NetWeaver – the sophisticated service oriented application and integration platform from SAP.”

Curtis reports that Oxygen has also secured a three year support contract with Macquarie Generation, a NSW  state-owned power generation corporation operating on the mid north coast of New South Wales.

“Macquarie has broken up its existing ICT outsourcing support contract into specialised areas and has selected Oxygen as its SAP support partner.”

Finally, Curtis says Oxygen has been selected by Australian Paper to help it develop a new supplier management system.

“Oxygen started out servicing and supporting one of the largest SAP platforms in the region at Carter Holt Harvey, and in doing so gained significant expertise in SAP systems for paper and packaging manufacturers. Now that we are no longer owned by Carter Holt Harvey, competitor organisations are able to access this expertise and we have a growing list of paper and packaging manufacturers on our books, including Visy, Amcor and now Australian Paper.”
