Broader, deeper, wider – new SAP release aims to help organisations better meet business goals
Themed as ‘Extending ERP’, Business Suite 7.0 tightly integrates all of SAP’s business applications into a unified and complete solution that adds value to every facet of an organisation’s business processes. The suite is the first synchronised release of new functionality across all its applications and includes enhancement packages for ERP 6.0, and CRM, SCM, SRM and PLM 7.0.
Oxygen’s General Manager, Consulting, Stuart Dickinson says SAP Business Suite 7.0 aims to synchronise and align all of its business application solutions, allowing customers to make better use of newly introduced functionality across the whole of their business.
“Businesses today have an increasing need for integrated processes across their entire organisation. This release aims to breakdown technology silos that exist between each line of business and reduce the need for complex integration tools to automate business processes.”
Dickinson says Business Suite 7.0 provides customers with a complete solution and puts technology to work on attaining business goals, such as improved customer retention and increased sales revenue.
“Accomplishing these goals requires the smooth interaction of a number of business processes which reach across departmental divisions. Business Suite 7.0 extends the reach and depth of interconnections between different business units to enable holistic planning and performance management.”
In addition, the soon to be released SAP ERP 6 Enhancement Pack 5.0 delivers over 650 new functions for ERP 6.0, across Sales, Enterprise Asset Management, Financials, Human Capital Management and Procurement and Logistics. It also provides more analytical capability by embedding Xcelsius and Crystal Reports functionality into applications and user interfaces.
